História de vida
Junho 4, 2011

Julie's Sun began to shine on May 22, 1958, Born to Walter

White & Lucille Winston. Julie had a joyous spirit even as a child

she was always volunteering to help others, she took this attitude

into her adulthood and befriended and helped anyone that needed

her. Whenever you talk to someone who knew her they will tell

you "Julie is my Best friend" and she was. She belonged to us all

in a very special way.

Julie attended 122nd Street Elementary, Gompers Junior

High & Locke High School she was very active in singing and

dancing classes, she even joined a dance group called the "Young

Souls of America. Julie began her ultimate circle of joy at a very

young age as she became the parent of a daughter with LeRoy

Saunders, being a loving mother came so natural to her. Julie

later married Joseph Johnson Sr. and completed her circle of joy

with her two sons. Julie began her walk with God at a very young

age always curious to know all about the word eventually led her

to Cottonwood School of Ministry where she graduated and came

to be know as Minister Julie, Ordained by Bishop John C. Calvin III

Julie's heart was so Christ-like, no matter what she always

had a SMILE on that beautiful face, she was always available

whenever you needed her, she never had anything bad to say

about anybody, she loved us all, she accepted us as we were, no

judgment could be found. God Lent Julie to us for what we all

believe was a short time but if she instilled in you any of her ways

you were blessed. She left with us her traits of forgiveness, her

ways of acceptance and her love for life.

Julie was blessed with her own cosmetology business

which she started as "Hair it is Beauty Salon" and later became

known as "Julie's Hair Affair" she grew a six station salon into a

twelve station salon, she really loved her job because it brought

her in contact with a lot people that she could share God's word

with and show them her love. She was never one to push anything

on you she gently let you know everyday with her favorite phrase

from  Psalm 118:24 "This is the day the LORD has made; let us

Julie had the pleasure of writing and producing two of her own

stage plays, "Stiletto Journey" and "Let Go and Let God"

and she completed the writing of "Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda". All

her plays were based on the word of God and Life, they touched

so many peoples heart, her claim to fame was playing "Big

Daddy" in Let go and Let God, it definitely had us all talking about

him for weeks. Julie loved to write it gave her a podium to express

herself being that she was a quiet person.

A lot of family members were at her church to see her

preach for the very first time. Proud she made us, our caterpillar

had blossomed into a Butterfly.

Julie battled with cancer like a soldier, never complaining,

always giving glory to God for another day of life. for many years,

she fought this disease and most people did not even know

because of her smile and the fact that she was always available

whenever you needed her . Until her last breathe of life she still

gave God all the glory and that’s how we know he will not forget

about her.

Julie's Sun set on May 25, 2011 just three days after we

celebrated her sunrise. She leaves to carry on her beautiful
